In addition to this bug there's a message about missing CD-ROM in the drive.

To fix that you need to download Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, not the most recent version but the version dated at 2013.

Download & Install the file, then the game should start running normally

For windows VISTA/7/8 you'll need x64 version most probably, for Windows XP try x86, either one of these will work. If it won't work for the first time download the other and try to install both. If it still doesn't work - restart your PC before running the game

Make sure you're downloading directly from microsoft, so the file is legit and digitally signed
